In her words, Kidjo said, “I want to dedicate this Grammy to all the traditional musicians in Africa, in my country, to all the young generation”. She further said that “Africa is on the rise, and Africa is joyful”.
Kidjo was ecstatic as she approached the stage to receive her award while dancing to James Brown’s ‘I feel good’ performed by the pit orchestra.
We toast cheers to her success.
