BT SPORT Retains the Coverage Rights of Champions League Broadcasting

BTSPORT has retained the broadcasting rights to cover live champions league games until 2024. The broadcaster fought off competition from the ITV and Sky Sports.

The three-year BT SPORTS deal with UEFA is worth £1.2billion and will run till 2024.The coverage will be fronted by Gary Lineker for BT SPORTS.

ITV had hoped to bring the live coverage back to terrestrial television. Amazon also competed for broadcasting rights.
