Diabetes: a hard disease that puts your heart in danger. Diabetes is one of the most common diseases that people have. Diabetes is also called “sugar diabetes” and is a pancreatic disease.

It occurs when the body does not normalise the use of glucose.

Since glucose is the most important form of energy for the body’s blood cells, the level must remain maintained.

The glucose level in the blood is controlled by a hormone called insulin, which is made in the pancreas. Diabetes occurs when this hormone is damaged or stops working properly.

Symptoms:

There are two types of diabetes, type one, and type two.

Type one is the severe type, and the symptoms are said to hit quickly, but in type two, the symptoms aren’t experienced initially. Some of the most common symptoms of Diabetes are:

  • Getting Thirsty
  • Urinating A lot
  • Getting Very Hungry
  • Losing Weight without a reason
  • Getting Tired
  • Visions get Blurry
  • Healing takes more time

As soon as you start experiencing these symptoms, especially frequent urination and fatigue, visit your doctor before the condition gets worse. Type 1 diabetes usually develops when you are born or in your teenage.

Type two can be developed during any period of your life but is usually mostly seen when people cross their 40s. Both these types can develop at any age, so precautions are very important.

Causes:

The causes of diabetes are still not clear to the doctors, but there are some of the triggers that may result in causing diabetes. There are different causes for both types of diabetes, and these are some of the most widely seen:

Type 1:

Mostly type 1 diabetes is caused by the destruction of the insulin-making cells in the pancreas by the immune system. This results in the body producing less insulin than the required amount, which causes diabetes. There are other causes of diabetes too.

A viral or bacterial infection is one of the most common causes. Viral infections cause your immune system to break and destroy your cells. This may lead to diabetes.

Tin food, or chemical toxins in food. This is another leading cause of diabetes as it upsets the amount of insulin needed by the body and damages your immune system too.

Another cause of developing diabetes is a genetic disposition. There is no way this can be avoided as you inherit diabetes from your parents or grandparents.

Type 2:

Type 2 diabetes has a lot of causes that are overlooked in our day-to-day life.

The biggest cause of type 2 diabetes is obesity. Gaining weight means that the body is constantly dealing with fat and has no time to look after the other cells and systems.

This results in the failure of the cells that produce insulin. You can also develop diabetes overage.

As you age, the body and its immune system get weaker, which exposes you to a lot of infections, which result in diabetes. Another common reason for diabetes is a bad diet.

A bad diet can result in an imbalance of the cells and the immune system, which can result in diabetes.

Effects:

  • Cardiovascular disease:

There are a lot of complications caused by diabetes.

Cardiovascular disease is one of the most common.

Diabetes can increase the risk of different heart problems and expose you to chest pains, heart attacks, and strokes.

  • Nerve damage:

More sugar in your body means that it can damage the walls of nerves. It mostly occurs in the lower body and then spreads upwards.

If you don’t treat it it could make you lose all sense of feeling in your lower body.

  • Kidney damage:

The most common effect of diabetes is on your kidneys.

Kidneys act as a filtering system for the body, and once damaged, it can lead to the failure of kidneys, and you might need dialysis or a new kidney (transplant).

  • Depression:

Depression is deeply linked to diabetes. Diabetes can cause depression since your body is not producing the required amount of blood cells and insulin.

This can affect your brain and cause severe depression.

  • Death:

The worst effect of diabetes is death.

This is the final effect.

The body gets destroyed by diabetes and is no longer able to fight the infections and produce blood, which results in organ damage and then death.
