Nobel Laureate, Malala Yousafzai weds in the UK over the weekend.
she announced she had gotten married at a Nikkah Ceremony in Birmingham, United Kingdom.
Ms Yousafzai, 24, the youngest-ever Pakistani activist, who was shot in the head by a Taliban gunman in 2012 after angering them with her campaign for girls’ schooling, revealed on Twitter she had tied the knot with partner Asser Malik on Tuesday.
A small service occurred at her home in Birmingham, attended by family and friends.”
The wedding picture showed her in a mercurial pink dress while her partner wore a matching tie.
Ms Malala Yousafzai wrote on her Instagram handle that: “Today marks a precious day in my life. Asser and I tied the knot to be partners for life.”
“We celebrated a small nikkah ceremony at home in Birmingham with our families.”
“Please send us your prayers. We are excited to walk together for the journey ahead”.
Youngest Ever Nobel Peace Prize Winner – Ms Malala Yousafzai
Ms Malala Yousafzai became the youngest-ever Nobel Peace Prize winner in 2014.
She won the accolade for her work campaigning for girls to have a universal right to education and against the Taliban Stances on Women’s Education and Rights, most especially in Pakistan and Afghanistan.
When she was 15, she was shot in the head by a member of the Taliban and flown to England to receive treatment.
In 2020, she completed a degree in philosophy, politics, and economics at Lady Margaret Hall College of Oxford University.
The activist has also set up the Malala Fund, which aims to support the education of girls around the world.
She has graced the covers of several international magazines and Media Fora. She is very successful indeed.

Ms Malala Yousafzai’s husband is Asser Malik. He is currently an operations manager for the Pakistan Cricket Board and is from Lahore, Pakistan.
