Shock As Biden Ends Re-Election Bid. The sitting President of the United States of America, Joseph Robinette Biden Jr., popularly known as Joe Biden, has announced his decision to end his second-term election bid, to the shock that reverberated beyond the United States of America.
The political world and its followers were thrown into shock when United States President Joe Biden announced that he was ending his re-election bid.
This has relieved Former President Donald Trump, who is also seeking re-election for the second term after losing his re-election bid in 2020 to the incumbent.
President Biden’s statement reads, “My fellow Americans, over the past three and a half years, we have made significant progress as a Nation.
“Today, America has the strongest economy in the world. We’ve made historic investments in rebuilding our Nation, lowering prescription drug costs for seniors, and expanding affordable health care to a record number of Americans. We’ve provided critically needed care to a million veterans exposed to toxic substances and passed the first gun safety law in 30 years. We appointed the first African American woman to the Supreme Court. And passed the most significant climate legislation in the history of the world. America has never been better positioned to lead than we are today.”
He continued, “I know none of this could have been done without you, the American people. Together, we overcame a once-in-a-century pandemic and the worst economic crisis since the Great Depression. We’ve protected and preserved our Democracy. And we’ve revitalized and strengthened our alliances around the world.
Serving as your President has been the most incredible honour of my life. While I intend to seek re-election, I believe it is in my party’s and the country’s best interest for me to stand down and focus solely on fulfilling my duties as President for the remainder of my term.
Biden then disclosed his desire to address the nation later this week. He said, “I will speak to the Nation later this week in more detail about my decision.
Thanking the American people for their support and faith shown him during his re-election bid
“For now, let me express my deepest gratitude to all those who have worked hard to see me re-elected. I want to thank Vice President Kamala Harris for being an extraordinary partner in all this work. And let me express my heartfelt appreciation to the American people for the faith and trust you have placed in me.
I believe today what I always have: that there is nothing America can’t do – when we do it together. We have to remember we are the United States of America.

Biden decided to end his second-term ambition as President of the United States of America and endorsed his Vice president, Kamara Harris, as his rightful successor to carry on the re-election bid.
He stated, “My fellow Democrats, I have decided not to accept the nomination and to focus all my energies on my duties as President for the remainder of my term. My first decision as the party nominee in 2020 was to pick Kamala Harris as my Vice President. And it’s been the best decision I’ve made. Today, I want to offer my full support and endorsement for Kamala to be our party’s nominee this year. Democrats — it’s time to come together and beat Trump. Let’s do this.
American Vice President Kamara Harris’ Reaction
Reacting to Biden’s endorsement of her, Vice President Kamala Harris said she will replace President Biden on the ballot as the Democrat Flag bearer in the forthcoming Presidential election following Joe Biden’s decision to end his race and endorsed her on Sunday.
She said, “I am honoured to have the president’s endorsement, and my intention is to earn and win this nomination.” Biden’s campaign realised this in a statement.
She continued, “Over the past year, I have travelled across the country, talking with Americans about the clear choice in this consequential election. And that is what I will continue to do in the days and weeks ahead.”
It is to be noted that Biden’s decision to step down and eventually endorse his Vice, Kamara Harris, is advantageous for Trump, who also seeks re-election after a failed bid in 2020.
Former President Donald Trump Addressing His Supporters
Donald Trump, in a phone conversation shortly after Biden’s withdrawal from the race, said, “He is the worst president in the history of our country. He goes down as the single worst president by far in the history of our country.”
“While it’s unclear who the Democratic nominee will be, Trump said he thinks VP Harris will be easier to defeat than Biden would have been.”
He stressed further by saying, “Crooked Joe Biden was not fit to run for President, and is certainly not fit to serve – And never was!
“He only attained the position of President by lies, Fake News, and not leaving his Basement.
“All those around him, including his Doctor and the Media, knew that he wasn’t capable of being President, and he wasn’t – And now, look what he’s done to our Country, with millions of people coming across our Border, totally unchecked and unvetted, many from prisons, mental institutions, and record numbers of terrorists.
“We will suffer greatly because of his presidency, but we will quickly remedy the damage he has done. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”
Barrack Obama Reactions
Reacting to Biden’s decision to step down and endorsing his Vice, Kamara Harris, Former President Barack Obama refused to endorse Kamara Harris, stressing that Democrats will pick a yet-to-be-named “Outstanding Nominee” who can produce a should-to-shoulder competition with Donald Trump.
His statement was echoed by Former Speaker of the American House of Representatives, Nancy Pelosi, who, reluctantly, refused to endorse Kamara Harris following a statement released by the party last week that she and Kamara Harris could be nominated to replace Joe Biden if he decided to step down.
“We will be navigating uncharted waters in the days ahead,” Obama said.
“But I have extraordinary confidence that the leaders of our party will be able to create a process from which an outstanding nominee emerges.”
“Some Democrats fear that Harris could further diminish the party’s chances against former President Donald Trump, 78, in the Nov. 5 election.
He concluded, “I believe that Joe Biden’s vision of a generous, prosperous, and united America that provides opportunity for everyone will be on full display at the Democratic Convention in August.”
