Slaying with our minds the way we slay with our looks is very important as we seek to attain a holistic version of ourselves.
This article will highlight the importance of paying attention to the workings of our minds.
I firmly believe the word of Florence Scovel Shin who affirmed in her lifetime that “Success is not a secret, it is a system.”
Part of the system is understanding that our minds contribute significantly to our success equation and that holding on to vital success variables such as perseverance and tenacity, among others requires a functioning and right mindset.
This article is particularly important to you if life is making you build bricks without straws. I took that from the story of the Israelites working under slaving conditions imposed on them by Pharaoh, the king of Egypt.
We human beings are tripartite beings consisting of the spirit, soul and body.
While most of my articles have focused mostly on the fashioning of the body and slaying to our heart’s satisfaction, it is important to emphasise the significance of the nurturing of the soul, in other words, our minds.
This is true because our eventual outlook on life and bodily experience is largely determined by the state of our minds.
Ever heard of the phrase “To thine self be true”? It simply means that you should make sure that you live your life in alignment with your soul and spirit.
Personal Affirmations
I cannot emphasise enough how imperative it is to know that as we pay attention to nurturing our body and personal style, it is also very important to nurture our minds through positive affirmations.
The world is agog with a lot going on and the best thing is to keep the mind sane at all times.
That is the essence of this article, to nudge us all towards nurturing our minds through positive affirmations.

I decided on positive affirmations some time ago and I realise that it has helped me personally.
It is very important to have words spoken through us, for us and by us for nothing else suffice like it.
Positive affirmations are words or statements affirming something to be true, encouraging us to believe certain things about ourselves or about the world and our place within it.
These are words that you speak to yourself, living in hopeful expectations that life is going to be kind to you and in the words of Lindsey Eryn,” it’s not a matter of “IF” it will happen-IT WILL HAPPEN.
So, it’s only a matter of time.
Consider these affirmations. Confess them and live them.
It may feel futile in the beginning but you will have to be consistent at it, so go ahead and splurge on these words of affirmations.
Beauts, make the following affirmation aloud with me. Let’s go:
- I am a beautiful soul that radiates a vibrant and beautiful form. All is well in my body and mind.
- Every day I dress up for success in body, mind and spirit-Laura Brunereau.
- I am attracting the right people and circumstances in my life-Badass Manifester.
- I am grateful for all the abundance flowing into my life.
- Creative energy surges through me and leads me to new and brilliant ideas.
- I possess the qualities needed to be extremely successful.
- My thoughts are filled with positivity and my life is plentiful with prosperity.
- I relax and enjoy life. I know that whatever I need to know is revealed to me is the perfect time and space sequence.
- I am worthy of all that I desire.
- My intentions, purpose and efforts are aligned. I manifest my dreams into reality with the help of the universe.
- I am stronger and more rational than my fears.
- I have the self-esteem, power and confidence to move forward in life with ease.
- I welcome each new day with fresh eyes and an open mind. I let go of what doesn’t serve me.
- I pause to appreciate what is good.
- I deserve the best and I accept the best now.
- These positive affirmations are very important and here’s hoping our mind, body, soul and spirit are nurtured and renewed as we confess and believe them.
Stay winning beautiful folks.
