The exciting adventure of Binta to the Niger Republic is the third article in the ‘Binta Series.’ The article details her exciting adventure to the Niger Republic through the assistance of a strange, curious minder.

Binta found herself seated in her favourite spot at the bustling market, observing the lively movements of the people around her. The scorching sun beat down on her face, but she hardly noticed, lost in deep contemplation.

Her mind was consumed by visions of distant lands, places she had only heard tales of but never laid her own eyes upon. These were the lands where she could discover even more exquisite animal skins to enrich her collection.

Suddenly, as if by fate, a voice emerged from behind her. “Would you like to hear about a place where the animal skins surpass anything you’ve ever witnessed?” Binta turned around and came face to face with a tall, slender man.

Despite his dusty and worn attire, he exuded an undeniable air of dignity.

He continued, “I know of a place where the animal skins radiate such brilliance and vibrancy that they emit their glow. The colours are unlike anything you have ever seen.” His words were deliberate, and his gaze fixed on Binta’s face.

Overwhelmed with curiosity, Binta’s heart raced as she eagerly responded, “Yes, please. Tell me everything.”

“In a distant land known as the Zinder,” the man began, “there exists a realm of extraordinary beauty. There, the sun bathes lush vegetation and glistening pools of water in its warm embrace, and within this haven dwell creatures whose skins have been untouched by the harshness of the desert.”

Their colours are so pure and vibrant that they almost seem unreal,” the man continued, captivating Binta with his words. She found herself hanging onto his every word, wanting to believe in the enchanting tales he shared. Filled with curiosity, Binta couldn’t help but ask, “But how can I reach this place?”

The man’s response was honest yet challenging, “It won’t be an easy journey,” he replied. “You’ll have to navigate through dangerous lands and cross treacherous waters. But with bravery and determination, I believe you can make it. And when you do, you’ll witness the most breath-taking animal skins you’ve ever seen.”

she declared. “I must see these skins for myself.”.

The man nodded, offering his guidance. “I can assist you on your journey,” he assured her. “I know the way and can safely lead you there. However, you must prepare yourself for the challenges ahead. It won’t be a walk in the park.”

Binta’s mind raced with excitement. “I must go there” she declared. “I must see these skins for myself.”

Eager to help, the man outlined the preparations Binta needed to make for her expedition. Supplies, equipment, and unwavering perseverance were essential.

Finally, he asked her, “Are you sure you’re ready for this?” Binta nodded with unwavering resolve.

“I am ready,” she declared. “I will face any obstacle that comes my way. I must see these animal skins.”

A warm smile spread across the man’s face. “Then let us embark on your journey,” he said. “But first, you must share your name with me.” Binta replied, “My name is Binta.” The man nodded in approval.

“Binta,” he said, “a name befitting one who seeks such extraordinary beauty. Now, let our adventure begin.” Hand in hand, he led her out of the bustling market and into the vast expanse of the desert. The sun illuminated their path, marking the start of their extraordinary quest.

“Are we gonna walk there?” Binta asked. “Nope, Kaduna to Niger is too far to trek. We’ll be taking a fancy car instead ’cause we’re all set for that,” the man replied.

They reached a bus stop and hopped into a luxurious car heading straight to the Niger Republic.

Binta did go on her journey to Niger, and her first stop was Agadez. The trip to Agadez was long and tough, but Binta didn’t mind.

She was excited to experience new sights and sounds. As she approached Agadez, she saw the city rise from the desert like a mirage. The buildings were tall and stunning, and the people wore colourful clothes.

Binta felt an exhilarating rush as she entered the city. She knew this was just the beginning of her adventure.

Once Binta arrived in Agadez, she started exploring the city. She wandered through the markets, admiring the vibrant goods on display. Her eye was drawn to fabrics of all colours, mouth-watering spices, and sparkling jewellery.

She chatted with the merchants, learning about their lives and work. Their stories fascinated her, and she felt a strong connection to the people of Agadez as she explored the city, a sense of belonging washed over her. She was no longer a stranger in a foreign land but a traveller.

One day, Binta heard a commotion in the market. She turned to see a group of men arguing with a merchant.

The men were shouting and waving their arms like crazy, and the merchant was trying to calm them down. Binta felt uneasy watching it all unfold. She saw the men getting more and more worked up, and she started to worry that things might turn violent.

Suddenly, one of the men pulled out a knife and went after the merchant. Binta acted fast, grabbin’ the man’s arm and takin’ the knife away from him. The man looked at her in surprise.

Binta’s quick thinkin’ helped calm the situation, and the men stormed off from the market.

The merchant thanked Binta for her help, and she felt proud of what she did. Word started spreadin’ about her brave act, and folks started callin’ her “Binta the Brave.” She became somethin’ of a local hero.

The merchants started treatin’ her with respect and were eager to do business with her, but Binta was gettin’ restless.

Binta decided it was time to move on from Agadez. She heard about another city called Zinder, known for its vibrant culture and lively markets. She knew she could find the animal skins she was lookin’ for there.

She packed her stuff and headed to Zinder, determined to make her mark. Along the way, she reflected on what she learned in Agadez. She discovered her capabilities and resourcefulness, ready to take on any challenges that came her way.

As Binta approached Zinder, she could feel the city’s liveliness. The markets were buzzin’ with activity, and the folks were friendly and welcomin’.

She started explorin’ the markets, searchin’ for the animal skins she needed. After a few days of lookin’, she finally found a merchant with what she was after. The merchant was impressed by her know-how and determination, and he offered her a good deal for the skins.

Binta felt accomplished as she made the purchase. She knew she had succeeded in her mission. With her shoppin’ done, Binta was ready to head back home.

But before leavin’ Zinder, she wanted to take one last stroll through the city.

As she wandered ’round, she stumbled upon a group of musicians playin’ traditional tunes. The music was lively and catchy, and Binta couldn’t resist dancin’ to the rhythm. The musicians were impressed by her moves and asked her to join ’em for a performance. Binta was surprised and honoured by the invite, so she happily agreed.

She spent the rest of the day dancin’ and playin’ music with the band. It was gettin’ late, and Binta knew it was time to head home, but just as she was about to leave, one of the musicians stopped her. They gave her a small gift, a stringed instrument called a “kora.” They explained that it was a traditional instrument played in the region. Binta was touched by the kind gesture and accepted the gift with gratitude.

As Binta walked home, she couldn’t help but play the kora, feelin’ a sense of peace and happiness.

When she finally got back to her place, she felt fulfilled. She had achieved what she set out to do.

As Binta returned to her shop, her shop girls excitedly greeted her. They were eager to see what she had brought back from her journey.

When she showed them the animal skins and the kora, they were amazed by the quality and beauty of the goods.

One of the shop girls, Amina, said, “These are incredible! You’ve done an amazin’ job, Binta.

These will attract customers from all over.” Binta couldn’t help but beam with pride. She knew her journey had been worth it. The girls helped her unpack the goods.

Before she knew it, the shop was filled with customers, all eager to buy the new merchandise. Binta was thrilled to see her shop thrivin’ once again.

As the day came to an end, she reflected on her journey. She had overcome challenges, made new friends, and found a sense of purpose, and now, her shop was doin’ better than ever.

As she closed up for the night, she felt content and grateful. She knew she had accomplished somethin’ truly remarkable.

Binta continued sellin’ her goods, her business grew and flourished. She was able to expand her shop, and hire more shop girls to help her out. With the success of her business, Binta was able to give back to her community after an exciting adventure to the Niger Republic.

She gave money to charities, helped local schools, and sponsored girls who wanted to learn. People saw her as a leader in the community and respected her. As she got older, Binta realized that her biggest accomplishment wasn’t her business but the positive influence she had on others.
